DATAZIONE: XVIII secolo
DESCRIZIONE: Si tratta di una sorta di monumentale arco di trionfo che i pesciatini vollero costruire in omaggio a Giangastone de' Medici, un grande amico della città di Pescia che tuttavia non visse sufficientemente a lungo per vederlo realizzato.
Il disegno di questa porta, costruita nel 1732, è stato eseguito da Bernardo Sgrilli e rivela uno stile prettamente fiorentino con decorazioni barocche. Dei due delfini (simboli della città), che decoravano i massicci pilastri bugnati, restano ormai poche tracce. Al di sopra del cartiglio celebrativo, a coronamento dell'arco, spicca lo stemma lapideo della famiglia dei Medici.
La Porta Fiorentina è stata restaurata nel 1993.

DESCRIPTION: It is a monumental triumphal arch people of Pescia wanted to build in honour of Gian Gastone de Medici, a noble man was a real friend of the town, who died before the arch realization.
Based on Bernardo Sgrilli drawings, the arch was built in 1732 and it reveals a typical Florentine style with its baroque decorations. Two dolphins, symbols of the town, adorned the massive ashlars pillar, of which there are only few evidences.
In the middle of the arch, just upon the commemorative scroll, is the Medici Family coat of arms.
“Florentine Gate” was restored in 1993.

DESCRIPTION: Il s'agit d'une sorte d'arc de triomphe monumental que les èpigraphes , cartouche , en pierre , bien conservé et encore lìsìble de Pescia , voulurent construire en hommage à Jean-Gaston des Médicis , grand ami de la ville de Pescia lequel n'a pas vélu suffisament pour le voir réalisé.
Le motif de cette porte,construite en 1732 , a été éxécuté par Bernardo Sgrilli et révèle un style Florentin avec des décorations baroques. Des deux dauphins (symboles de la ville) , qui décoraient les imposantes colonnes de traces. Au dessus de la cartouche en pierre de la famille des médicis.
La Porte Florentine a été restaurée en 1993.
